I Like 2 Types of Books Apparently….

top 2017 readsWhile it seems everyone else is super organized and has already posted their favorite reads of the year, I have decided to finally embrace the ‘perpetual state of behindness’ that I seem to live in.  So, here I am, a week or two later, finally compiling my list of the 7 books I read in 2017 that gave me all the feels.

Seven you ask?  That is a weird number to choose.

Well, you see, five was too few, I couldn’t narrow it down that far.  But ten was too many, I couldn’t categorize 10% of the books I read as favorites.  So, I settled for the in between.

And conveniently, I can group all seven of these reads in to two distinct categories.  Ready? Ready.

The Bear and The Nightingale

Hello everyone, I am here today to talk to you about our new Lord and Savior, Katherine Arden, the beautiful individual who has brought this book The Bear and the Nightingale into our lives.

It has been too long since I have read a book that made me want to climb to the top of the highest mountain, to scale buildings, to set up booths in the local park and shout to the world: “YOU NEED TO READ THESE WORDS!”
