Top 5 Tuesday

Good Morning everyone!  It has been so stinkin’ long since I have participated in a Top 5/10 Tuesday so I thought it would be fun to revisit a prompt I missed from a few weeks ago that I love!the martian

For those of you that are unaware, Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by  The Broke & The Bookish, where book bloggers get to highlight their top 10 choices for the topic that the lovely people at B&B choose for the week.  Yes, the meme is supposed to be Top 10, and yes, I only do 5.  WHAT ABOUT IT?

So, today the Top 5 prompt I wanted to revisit is: 5 most recent books from X genre that you have recently added to your TBR!  A couple of weeks ago I posted a picture of my sci-fi section of my bookshelf on Instagram, which I am immensely proud of.  But then I realized that for being one of my favorite genres, I definitely needed to add some more books to this collection.  Let’s get to it!

Top 5 Tuesday

I am so relieved that the Broke and the Bookish are putting out Top 10 Tuesday prompts again because LORD KNOWS I am not creative enough to come up with my own prompts!  For more information about this awesome list making meme (and I know you like lists because honestly, who doesn’t?) head HERE!

Today I am going to do a little bit of fantasizing about meeting some of my favorite authors!  I have met a couple so far, mostly at BookCon last year, but I have recently discovered how amazing it is to see authors on their book tours!  There is usually a bad ass Q&A session before the signing, and it is way more intimate than simply standing in line to meet an author at a convention.

Anyways, here are my top 5 authors that I am dying to meet and will definitely try to get to a signing in the future!

Top 5 Tuesday

It has been WAY too long since I have participated in a Top 10 Tuesday!

For those of you that are unaware, Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by  The Broke & The Bookish, where book bloggers get to highlight their top 10 choices for the topic that the lovely people at B&B choose for the week.  Yes, the meme is supposed to be Top 10, and yes, I only do a Top 5.  No shame in the top 5 game though!

This Tuesday, the prompt is “all about visuals”, and since I am a pretty visual person, I thought I would share something with you all that makes me very excited in the book universe: gorgeous chapter headers!

Top 5 Tuesday

Good Morning everyone!  I haven’t participated in a Top 5/10 Tuesday in a few weeks, and thought it would be a great idea this Tuesday since the topic is something I feel strongly about in the book world!

I find that since I am relatively new to book blogging and bookstagramming, I can get more quality into my Top Tuesday posts with only five in my list, and have resolved to grow my lists as I grow my blog.

So, with all of that nonsense out-of-the-way, the prompt for today’s post is: Audio Freebie!  I love audio books, and I feel like they do not get as much credit as they deserve.  Mostly I think people are intimidated by audio books, especially if they are strong visual learners.  Well fear not my friends.  I am coming to you today with 5 reasons why you should give audio books a try, even if you think they are just not for you.

10 Books to Read Before the End of 2016

Photo Aug 21, 12 34 38A week, or maybe two weeks ago now, I saw that Christine from @weereader made this lovely blog post based off a photo that @pollyandbooks  shared on her bookstagram, listing out her must read books for the rest of 2016.

I thought it was such a good idea to hone in on, and narrow down the seemingly endless amounts of books that I own – and ones that I am sure to buy between now and December 31st.  As we are going into the final stretch of 2016, I wanted to pull aside some books that I have bought throughout the year that I SWORE I would get to soonish but just haven’t yet.
