10 Books to Read Before the End of 2016

Photo Aug 21, 12 34 38A week, or maybe two weeks ago now, I saw that Christine from @weereader made this lovely blog post based off a photo that @pollyandbooks  shared on her bookstagram, listing out her must read books for the rest of 2016.

I thought it was such a good idea to hone in on, and narrow down the seemingly endless amounts of books that I own – and ones that I am sure to buy between now and December 31st.  As we are going into the final stretch of 2016, I wanted to pull aside some books that I have bought throughout the year that I SWORE I would get to soonish but just haven’t yet.

City of Thieves

I am a history nerd.  I graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in history, so many people think that means historical fiction is automatically my favorite genre to read.  Until recently, no way Jose.

But then, I read The Book Thief, and All the Light We Cannot See, and most recently City of Thieves, and I realize how much I am drawn to WWII historical fiction.  I have even put together a list of WWII fiction novels I need to add to my never ending TBR pile. However, with that being said, let’s talk about City of Thieves.
